The NC State community now has access to the wealth of training and tutorial resources on Lynda.com, a comprehensive library of videos that complement existing university training and support materials across a wide range of subjects.

Students, faculty, and staff now have 24/7 access via a computer or mobile device to on-demand online courses covering everything from commonly used software packages such as Microsoft Office to specialized applications in subject areas like photography, design, digital media creation, and web development. Lynda.com also offers training in more general topics such as time and project management, and developing leadership, presentation and negotiation skills.

A Unity ID is required for organizational access to Lynda.com. For information about how to access this resource, visit the Libraries’ Lynda.com FAQ page.

All courses are broken into short videos so you can learn at your own pace or focus on just one key topic of interest. Lynda.com also offers Learning Paths—a series of courses curated by industry experts. Some examples of the many available Learning Paths are “Become a Digital Marketer,” "Become a Video Editor," "Improve your SketchUp Skills," “R for Data Science: Lunch Break Lessons,” “Advance Your Data Science Skills in Health Sciences,” "Stay Ahead in Manufacturing with 3D Printing," and "Improve Your Mobile Photography Skills."

Whether you’re enriching yourself with a 10-minute lesson each morning, learning a new skill to support your coursework, or working through a Learning Path toward a career change, Lynda.com provides resources to help you get there.
